John Blair / John Blair Featuring Googie Coppola - I'm A Wizard / We Belong Together

Description
A 1977 7-inch single pairs John Blair’s “I'm A Wizard” with “We Belong Together,” credited to John Blair Featuring Googie Coppola. The contrast in those two titles gives the release its own little story, while the funk and soul setting, with disco in the mix, places it in a tradition built for rhythm, movement and a strong vocal presence. Cti Records issued it as OJ-38, a concise meeting point between soul’s expressive roots and disco’s dance-floor pulse. Both tracks keep the focus on the performers named in the credits, carrying the enduring appeal of a single designed to make two distinct songs share a moment.
