John Conlee - She Told Me So / Harmony

Description
Country songs often find their way into the spaces between what people say and what they mean. John Conlee brings that familiar storytelling tradition to “She Told Me So,” where a small turn of phrase can open onto a larger human moment. On the other side, “Harmony” offers a title that sits naturally beside it, drawing the two songs together without asking them to tell the same story. This 1986 Columbia release, catalog number 38-05778, belongs to country music’s long conversation between plainspoken detail and feeling. Conlee’s name is closely tied to that tradition, where an everyday story can stay with you.
