John Hetherington - North Western / Can't Nobody See My Face

Description
Bubblegum pop with a rockier edge makes for an intriguing little meeting here. John Hetherington brings together “North Western” and “Can't Nobody See My Face” on this Uni single, catalog number 55284, where pop’s gift for a direct, memorable song meets the tougher colors of hard rock and pop rock. Bubblegum’s bright, compact approach has always made room for surprises: a catchy pop sensibility can sit comfortably beside a more forceful rock sound. That contrast gives this pairing its appeal, without needing to turn the titles into clues about what the songs contain. The blend itself is the point—a reminder that pop’s sweetest side can have grit.
