John Michael Montgomery - Rope The Moon / Friday At Five

Description
John Michael Montgomery’s 1994 single “Rope The Moon” pairs a title that invites a little reflection with “Friday At Five,” bringing two distinct moments into one country release. Country music has long found room for both the weight of everyday hopes and the pleasure of letting the workweek go; these titles suggest that familiar contrast without needing to spell it out. Montgomery is a country singer, and this 7-inch keeps the focus on the songs themselves. Issued by Atlantic as 7-87248, the single was pressed in the USA. Together, its titles hold a small, recognizable tension: reaching for something lasting and looking forward to the weekend.
