Johnnie Taylor - It's September / Just One Moment

Description
Johnnie Taylor brings a tender touch to “It's September,” a soul song whose title evokes the turn of the season without needing to tell its whole story. Taylor’s singing sits within a tradition that makes room for both intimate feeling and a strong, steady pulse: soul can sound personal while still drawing you into its groove. The record pairs that side with “Just One Moment,” giving the release a second title to linger over. Issued in 1974 by Stax Records as STN 0226, this US single belongs to a period when soul remained a vivid language for everyday emotion. Taylor is credited on both sides.
