Johnnie Taylor - Just One Moment / It's September

Description
Soul can make a small moment feel enormous. Johnnie Taylor brings that gift to this 1974 Stax Records single, where “Just One Moment” and “It's September” offer two titles to linger over without needing a grand story around them. Taylor was a soul singer, and that tradition has always made room for a voice to carry tenderness, urgency and everyday feeling in the same breath. This release, catalog STN-0226, belongs to the rich Stax-era conversation between gospel-rooted expression and the groove-minded language of soul. Its place in that tradition is the point: a singer, a song, and feeling made vivid.
