Johnnie Taylor - Stop Doggin' Me / Stop Teasin' Me

Description
Soul music has always known how to make a little romantic friction feel larger than life, turning a complaint into something you can carry with you. Johnnie Taylor brings that tradition into focus here: “Stop Doggin’ Me” opens the conversation, and “Stop Teasin’ Me” answers with a title that keeps the exchange going. The push and pull between these two songs gives the single its human spark, rooted in soul’s gift for making everyday feelings sing. Released in 1972 on Stax Records, catalog STA-0142, this USA pressing catches Taylor in a moment where even a plea has room for rhythm.
