Joyce Cobb - Dig The Gold / Don't Be Mad At Me

Description
Joyce Cobb brings “Dig The Gold” to a lively crossroads of disco, funk and soul, where a steady dance pulse meets the room for rhythmic play that has long made funk so inviting. The title sets the scene without giving the music away; the pleasure is in how these traditions share space with pop, each carrying its own kind of energy. Later, “Don't Be Mad At Me” turns the page, keeping Cobb at the center of the story. Released in 1979 on Cream Records as CRE 7939, this United States pressing connects two tracks through the enduring pull of groove and movement.
