Jr. Walker & The All Stars - "Gotta Hold On To This Feeling" / Clinging To The Thought That She's Coming Back

Description
“Gotta Hold On To This Feeling” and “Clinging To The Thought That She's Coming Back” make a compelling pairing: one title holds tight to the present, the other waits on a hope not yet fulfilled. This 1968 7-inch single brings Jr. Walker & The All Stars into the enduring conversation between rhythm and blues and soul, where direct feeling and a strong groove meet. The release appeared on Soul as S 35000, a compact record rooted in the era’s rich tradition of soulful singles. Its two titles leave us with a small, human tension: holding on can mean feeling something now, or trusting it will return.
