Julio Francisco - El Mandilon / No Me Dejes

Description
Julio Francisco brings “El Mandilon” into the vivid world of stage-and-screen music, where a theme can carry a story beyond the picture and linger in the listener’s mind. This 1982 promotional soundtrack release belongs to a tradition that treats a song as part of the drama: concise, memorable, and closely tied to the moment it serves. The record appeared on Discos Olympico Records as OS 334. Turn to “No Me Dejes” for the other title, set apart from the opening track yet sharing the same soundtrack context. Together, the two names preserve a small piece of how screen music travelled into everyday record collections.
