Justin Tubb - The Village Idiot / Where You're Concerned

Description
Justin Tubb’s 7-inch single pairs the sharply titled “The Village Idiot” with “Where You’re Concerned,” two songs that invite a closer look at the turns of phrase country music can make its own. The genre has long found room for plainspoken storytelling, where everyday relationships and human foibles become the heart of a song rather than grand abstractions. That tradition gives these titles an appealing contrast: one raises a wry, memorable figure, while the other sounds more intimate in its wording, without giving away its story. Issued by Rca Victor as 47-8559, this USA pressing keeps the focus on Tubb and the songs themselves.
