Klymaxx - I Miss You / Video Kid

Description
“I Miss You” brings a tender title into the polished, electronic world of Klymaxx, where funk’s warmth meets the sleek textures of synth-pop. The group’s broad funk and soul setting gives the song a lovely balance: a feeling rooted in the tradition of expressive soul, carried by the crisp, modern touch of 1980s pop. Then “Video Kid” turns the page, adding a second title to the story of this 1985 single without losing the era’s fascination with electronic color. Released in the United States on Constellation Records, catalog number MCA-52606, it reflects a moment when synthesizers were finding fresh ways to shape familiar pop and funk language.
