Kool & The Gang - Slick Superchick / Life's A Song

Description
Kool & The Gang bring “Slick Superchick” into the late-seventies groove, where funk’s grounded pulse meets disco’s bright, dance-minded drive. The track’s title has a playful snap, and the group’s place in funk gives this 1977 single a natural connection to a tradition built on rhythm, movement and the pleasure of a strong pocket. On the flip, “Life's A Song” offers a second title to carry into the moment, with the same invitation to meet music on its own terms. Issued on De-Lite Records as DE-901, this USA pressing catches the era when funk and disco shared the dance floor without losing their distinct character.
