L.T.D. - (Every Time I Turn Around) Back In Love Again / Material Things

Description
This 1977 7-inch single pairs L.T.D.’s “(Every Time I Turn Around) Back In Love Again” with “Material Things,” bringing two titles together in the vibrant world of funk and soul. Disco’s steady pulse gave that tradition a bright new dance-floor language in the 1970s, while funk kept the groove nimble and alive; this release sits where those currents meet. The lead title turns on the feeling of returning to love, while its companion offers a concise counterpoint in name alone. Issued by A&M Records as SP-4646, it belongs to a moment when soul’s rhythmic warmth and disco’s forward motion shared a natural home on the single.
