Latimore - Discoed To Death / Just One Step

Description
Latimore’s 1979 seven-inch single pairs the boldly titled “Discoed To Death” with “Just One Step,” bringing two evocative names together in the lively world of disco and soul. Disco’s pulse grew from soul’s deep roots, giving dancers a steady beat while leaving room for expressive phrasing and a strong vocal presence. That meeting of movement and feeling makes this release a small but telling marker of its moment, when dance music could be both direct and soulful. Issued in the USA on Glades as GLAX-1756, it keeps the focus on Latimore and those two memorable titles—a neat pairing from disco’s late-seventies heyday.
