Lionel Richie - My Love / Round And Round

Description
Lionel Richie’s “My Love” and “Round And Round” place two song titles side by side, with a voice rooted in soul and polished for pop’s broad embrace. In soul tradition, a song can feel intimate without giving up its sense of occasion: the singer brings the words close, while the arrangement leaves room for a wider audience to meet them. That balance gives this 1982 Motown single its own point of entry into Richie’s work. The label and catalog number, Motown 1677MF, mark the release; the titles themselves invite a closer look at how one artist’s songs can hold distinct places in a shared musical world.
