Marcia Griffiths - Electric Boogie / Electric Boogie

Description
Island Records’ MS 126 pairs Marcia Griffiths with “Electric Boogie,” a title that became inseparable from the dance it invites. Griffiths is a reggae singer, and this single brings that tradition into a buoyant meeting with boogie and reggae-pop. Reggae’s steady pulse has always made room for movement, while boogie adds a sleek, dance-floor lift; here, those strands meet in a song built around a memorable name and a shared step. “Electric Boogie” appears on both sides, keeping the focus firmly on Griffiths and the tune. This United States pressing catches reggae’s easy ability to travel through rhythm and bring people together.
