Marty Balin - Hearts / Freeway

Description
“Hearts” and “Freeway” bring two sides of Marty Balin’s pop-rock songwriting together on this 1981 seven-inch single: one title turns toward the heart, the other points down the road, without either needing to tell the whole story. Balin is a singer-songwriter, and that personal thread gives these songs a natural place in pop’s long tradition of making intimate feeling fit a concise form. Issued by Emi America as 8084 and pressed in the USA, the record carries that tradition into a compact pairing built around Balin’s own name and two distinct titles. It leaves the listener with a simple pleasure: following one songwriter from “Hearts” to “Freeway.”
