Mary Macgregor - I've Never Been To Me / In Your Eyes

Description
Ariola America’s 1978 single brings Mary Macgregor to the country-pop crossroads, where a personal song can turn a compact recording into a whole story. “I've Never Been To Me” and “In Your Eyes” give this release its two distinct titles, with Macgregor’s voice at the center. Country music has a long tradition of putting everyday feeling plainly into song; pop offers another route for that directness to travel. Here, the meeting of those traditions gives the record its character without asking for grand gestures. Ariola America 7677 belongs to a moment when country and pop could meet in a song built around personal feeling.
