Melissa Manchester - I Got Eyes / Midnight Blue

Description
Soft rock and soul meet in the hands of singer-songwriter Melissa Manchester, where intimacy and polish can share the same space. On this 1975 single, “I Got Eyes” opens one side of the story, while “Midnight Blue” gives the other its own distinct title and place. The two songs sit within a tradition that lets pop songwriting lean into soul’s emotional directness without losing its melodic shape. Issued by Arista Records as AS 0116, this United States pressing brings Manchester’s name to a concise pairing from a moment when those styles could speak naturally to one another.
