Meri Wilson - Itinerary / Telephone Man

Description
Meri Wilson brings a playful turn to the meeting of jazz, pop, and novelty song on this 1977 single. “Itinerary” opens the journey, while “Telephone Man” gives the other side its own title and character; together, they place Wilson’s vocal performance at the heart of a light-footed tradition where wit and song share the stage. The appeal of novelty music lies in its knack for making an everyday idea feel ready for a tune, and the telephone offered plenty of room for that kind of musical mischief. Issued by Grt as GRT-127 in the United States, this record captures that cheerful spirit in two distinct titles.
