Mervin Shiner With The Jordanaires / Mervin Shiner - I'm Going Through, Jesus / The Great Speckled Bird

Description
There’s a sturdy, heartfelt comfort to country gospel, where familiar country phrasing carries the plainspoken strength of a hymn. Mervin Shiner brings that spirit to “I’m Going Through, Jesus,” joined by Mervin Shiner With The Jordanaires, then steps forward on “The Great Speckled Bird.” The contrast in credits gives each title its own place in the story, while both sit within the enduring tradition of gospel songs made to be sung and remembered. Issued in the United States on Decca Faith Series, 9-14527, this single pairs two songs whose titles point directly toward the faith at the heart of country gospel.
