Michael Holm - Other Way Round / When A Child Is Born

Description
Michael Holm brings the easy, melodic appeal of Schlager pop to “Other Way Round,” a title that leads naturally into “When A Child Is Born.” The two songs sit in a tradition where a clear vocal and a memorable tune carry the heart of the music, making familiar themes feel direct and personal. Released in 1974, this Mercury single, catalog number 73642, gives Holm room to move between a playful-sounding title and one that suggests a more reflective subject, without needing the songs to share the same mood. Schlager’s gift is its closeness: melody made to meet listeners where they are.
