Michael Murphey - Cherokee Fiddle / Cherokee Fiddle

Description
A 1976 7-inch single, “Cherokee Fiddle” appears with Michael Murphy credited on one side and Michael Murphey on the other. The title links this Epic release, catalog number 8-50319, to a deep country tradition: the fiddle has long carried dance tunes and storytelling through rural music, while contemporary country and country-rock brought that heritage into a changing musical world. Here, the two supplied artist credits remain attached to the same song title, preserving the record’s details without obscuring its place in that tradition. Country music’s old fiddle thread keeps finding room in newer styles, where familiar roots can meet a fresh outlook.
