Mickey Spice - Never Give You Up / Version

Description
Mickey Spice brings “Never Give You Up” into the warm, intimate world of lovers rock, where reggae’s steady pulse leaves room for tenderness and a song can feel like a close conversation. The style’s sweetness sits comfortably alongside dancehall’s more rhythmic edge, giving this Jamaican release a place between two strands of the island’s music. Flip it over and “Version” turns attention to the instrumental tradition that has long been central to reggae: familiar musical ideas are reshaped, making space for a different kind of listening. Released in Jamaica on Roof International, this 7-inch single connects a romantic song with the enduring creativity of the version.
