Midnight Oil - The Dead Heart / Kosciusko

Description
There’s a restless edge to Australian rock, and Midnight Oil make it feel immediate on this 1986 single. “The Dead Heart” and “Kosciusko” bring two distinct titles together under the same searching spirit: music that looks outward while staying rooted in place. Rock has long carried stories of land, identity and belonging, and that wider tradition gives these songs room to resonate beyond their compact form. Issued by Columbia as 38-07964, the record stands as a focused meeting point between a band and the questions that shape its music. Midnight Oil’s Australian context is central to the single’s place in rock.
