Mike Post - Manhattan Spiritual / Manhattan Spiritual

Description
In 1975, Mike Post brought “Manhattan Spiritual” to a 7-inch single, with the same title on both sides. The release sits at a meeting point between pop and pop rock, while its title reaches toward the city’s long association with spiritual music and the communities that have kept that tradition alive. There’s something inviting in the way a concise pop release can carry a name with such a deep cultural echo, without needing to turn it into a grand statement. Issued in the USA on Mgm Records, catalog number M 14829, it leaves “Manhattan Spiritual” as its own small point of connection between pop and tradition.
