Mikey Sing - Version / You Can Dress Version

Description
Mikey Sing’s 1990 single brings the unruly spirit of rock into a Jamaican setting, where folk-rock storytelling, garage grit and psychedelic colour offer a broad palette for adventurous music. Its titles, “Version” and “You Can Dress Version,” leave room for curiosity without giving away what the record sounds like; the pleasure is in meeting the music on its own terms. Rock has always made space for reinvention, and the word “version” carries a special resonance in Jamaican music, where reworking a musical idea can open fresh paths. Issued on Black Scorpio as a Jamaican 7-inch single, this release joins those traditions in a concise, intriguing pairing.
