Mindy - Smasharoo / Gettin' Ready For A Heartache

Description
Mindy opens with “Smasharoo,” a title that puts a little bounce into this 1982 soft-rock single without giving away the song itself. Soft rock has always made room for pop’s bright hooks and gentler edges, balancing an easy touch with the sturdy shape of a memorable tune. Here, that tradition meets a distinctly playful title, while “Gettin' Ready For A Heartache” waits on the flip side with a more tender promise in its name. Issued in the Netherlands on Fruit De Top as FRS 025, the single catches pop in a moment when warmth and polish could sit comfortably together. Mindy’s two titles leave space for both mischief and wistfulness.
