Naked Eyes - Always Something There To Remind Me / The Time Is Now

Description
The 1982 single pairs “Always Something There To Remind Me” with “The Time Is Now,” bringing two sharply titled songs together in Naked Eyes’ synth-pop world. Synth-pop’s bright electronic textures offered pop songwriting a fresh way to move between intimacy and momentum, and this release carries that tradition into the early eighties without losing sight of the song at its center. Released by Emi America as B-8155, the United States pressing gives the pairing a clear place in that era’s electronic pop story. Naked Eyes’ name and these two titles remain joined here as a concise record of synth-pop’s meeting point between songs and synthesizers.
