Nancy Nevins - Don't Hold Back / Don't Hold Back

Description
Nancy Nevins brings a Broadway-show sensibility to “Don’t Hold Back,” a song whose title invites a little theatrical confidence without giving away its story. The same title returns on the other side, keeping the focus on one piece of material and the way a performer can make it her own. Pop shaped by Broadway and supper-club traditions carries a special intimacy: even its stage-minded gestures are meant to reach someone across the room. This 1975 United States pressing pairs Nevins with Tom Cat Records, catalog YB-10291. “Don’t Hold Back” is the thread running through the single, and Nevins is the name at its center.
