Natalie Cole - I Wanna Be That Woman (4:14) / Pink Cadillac

Description
Natalie Cole brings a lively sense of purpose to this 1988 single, pairing “I Wanna Be That Woman (4:14)” with “Pink Cadillac.” Cole was a singer, and her place in American soul and pop makes this pairing feel at home in the bright, rhythmic world where those traditions meet. Dance-pop and R&B thrive on movement, but the best songs leave room for a performer’s character to shine through; these two titles offer a neat glimpse of that balance. Issued by Emi Manhattan as B-50117, this USA pressing captures Cole in a period when soul’s expressive voice and pop’s easy momentum could share the same groove.
