Nelson Feliciano / Kito Velez - Me Duele El Corazon / China

Description
Nelson Feliciano opens with “Me Duele El Corazon,” a title that carries the tender ache at the heart of so much salsa: music made for dancing, yet never afraid of longing. The style’s bright rhythmic drive gives heartbreak a graceful way to move, turning private feeling into something shared across the dance floor. Kito Velez takes the story onward with “China,” bringing another title into this meeting of song and rhythm without losing the intimate thread. Issued by Coco Records as CFF5018 in 1973, this U.S. pressing belongs to salsa’s enduring balance of emotional directness and movement: sorrow can keep time, too.
