New Birth - Dream Merchant / Why Did I

Description
Soul has a way of making a simple question linger. New Birth bring that feeling to this 1975 single, pairing “Dream Merchant” with “Why Did I.” The titles suggest two different kinds of longing, but each stands on its own; together, they place the record in soul’s rich tradition of turning everyday emotion into song. That tradition prizes expressive voices, strong melodies and the human pull of a refrain, making even a brief single feel like a complete encounter. Issued in the USA by Buddah Records as BDA 470, this release carries soul’s lasting gift: a question can stay with you long after the music stops.
