Oberon Ives - Everytime I'm Near You / Tonight's The Night

Description
Oberon Ives brings two 1975 titles together on this country-pop 7-inch: “Everytime I'm Near You” and “Tonight's The Night.” Their pairing places the single in country pop’s long conversation with the concise, intimate love song, where a few carefully chosen words can carry the weight of a whole story. The style’s appeal often lies in its meeting of country’s directness and pop’s knack for a memorable refrain, making room for tenderness without losing its plainspoken heart. Issued by Bme Records as BME 51, this United States pressing gives both titles their own place in Ives’s release. The songs’ names alone suggest the enduring pull of closeness and desire.
