Oliver Sain - California Sunset / Booty Bumpin' (The Double Bump)

Description
Oliver Sain opens with “California Sunset,” a title that places this 1974 Abet single in a moment when blues, soul and funk were finding lively ways to share the same groove. Sain was a saxophonist, and that musician’s touch sits naturally within the earthy, flexible world of Louisiana blues, where a strong pulse can carry both grit and grace. The other side turns to “Booty Bumpin' (The Double Bump),” bringing a funk-minded title into the mix. Issued in the USA as Abet 9458, the record connects blues tradition with the rhythmic curiosity of soul-jazz—music built to keep its roots moving.
