Paper Lace - The Black-Eyed Boys / Jean

Description
Paper Lace bring two sharply different names together on this 1974 single: “The Black-Eyed Boys” on one side, “Jean” on the other. Their pairing gives the record a little room to surprise, while keeping its focus on the compact, tuneful craft of pop rock. The form has always thrived on contrast: a strong title, a clear melodic idea, and just enough space for each side to make its own impression. Issued by Bus Stop Records as 2-51361, this United States pressing catches Paper Lace in the concise world of the seven-inch single, where every song has to make its case quickly.
