Passport - Rambling / Rambling

Description
Passport’s “Rambling” brings a jazz-minded edge to rock, where improvisation and a strong rhythmic drive can share the same space. Jazz fusion has always offered musicians room to stretch beyond rock’s usual boundaries, while jazz rock keeps that exploratory spirit grounded in the energy of a band-led groove. Here, the title’s repetition gives the release a clear point of focus without asking us to read a story into it. Issued in 1981, this U.S.-pressed 7-inch single presents “Rambling” on both sides. Atlantic’s catalog number 3857 places the record neatly in its era, while its central idea remains a meeting of rock’s momentum and jazz’s openness.
