Patti Page - Gentle On My Mind / Excuse Me

Description
Patti Page brings her country-vocal style to “Gentle On My Mind,” a song whose title suggests the quiet persistence of memory without needing to tell us what to feel. Country music has long made room for stories that travel lightly but stay close, carried by a clear melody and an intimate voice. Here, “Excuse Me” completes the pairing, adding another concise title to this 7-inch single. The release sits on Columbia as catalog number 4-44353, pressed in the USA. Page’s place in the country-vocal tradition gives this record its point of connection: a voice meeting songs built for close attention.
