Patti Page - The Walls Have Ears / My Promise

Description
On Mercury, this Patti Page recording pairs “The Walls Have Ears” with “My Promise,” bringing two songs together in the poised, direct language of classic pop vocal music. Page’s clear presence makes the songs feel like small scenes unfolding in a few carefully chosen lines: one title hints at a watchful world, the other at a heartfelt vow, while leaving the songs themselves to speak. Pop singers have long made intimacy feel at home in a concise song, balancing conversational storytelling with a memorable melody. This release, catalog number 71428X45, carries that tradition in a focused form, with Patti Page at its center.
