Paul Stookey - Sebastian / Wedding Song (There Is Love)

Description
A little pop-rock warmth goes a long way. Paul Stookey brings two contrasting titles together here: “Sebastian” and “Wedding Song (There Is Love).” The latter’s title points toward a familiar strand of popular song, where love and commitment are given plain, memorable words; its enduring appeal lies in how naturally that kind of sentiment can be shared. Set against it, “Sebastian” gives this single a second point of entry without needing a story supplied by the title alone. Issued by Eric Records as catalog number 196, this United States pressing connects Stookey’s songwriting with the direct, vocal-led spirit of pop rock.
