Pointer Sisters - Fire / Love Is Like A Rolling Stone

Description
“Fire” puts the Pointer Sisters at the heart of this 1978 single, with a title that needs no introduction to anyone drawn to the heat and urgency of soul. Turn it over and “Love Is Like A Rolling Stone” offers a second chapter, broadening the record’s story without leaning on the first side’s name alone. The Pointer Sisters’ gift for bringing soul into the lively, dance-minded world of late-’70s pop makes these two titles a natural pairing: one direct, one more expansive in its reach. Issued in the USA on Planet as P-45901, it captures a moment when soul and disco moved easily together.
