Pointer Sisters - Movin' On / He's So Shy

Description
A 1980 Planet single, P-47916, pairs “Movin' On” with “He's So Shy,” bringing the Pointer Sisters into the bright, dance-minded current of contemporary R&B and disco. The group’s name sits comfortably in a tradition where close vocal interplay meets polished pop craft, and these two titles make an inviting entry point into that world. Soul’s gift for turning a concise song into a lasting presence runs through this era’s music, with rhythm and melody sharing the spotlight. Here, the pairing itself tells a small story: movement on one side, a shy confession on the other, both held in the same pop moment.
