Ray Parker Jr. - Jamie / Christmas Time Is Here

Description
Arista’s 1984 single brings Ray Parker Jr. into a holiday setting with “Jamie” and “Christmas Time Is Here,” pairing pop and soul with the dance-minded pulse of disco. Holiday records often make room for both celebration and reflection, and these two titles place that seasonal tradition beside a distinctly pop-era sensibility. Parker’s work as a singer and songwriter gives the release a clear human center, while its compact single form suits the directness of a seasonal song. Issued in the USA as Arista AS1-9293, it connects the warmth of holiday music with the rhythmic language of disco and soul.
