Ray Stevens - Bridget The Midget / Everything Is Beautiful

Description
“Bridget The Midget” and “Everything Is Beautiful” make an unexpected pairing: one title has a playful edge, the other reaches for a generous, open-hearted sentiment. Together, they show how a pop single can hold contrasting moods without needing to settle on just one. Ray Stevens, a singer and songwriter, brings the songs together on this 1979 UK 7-inch release, issued by Old Gold as OG 9036. The contrast also nods to pop’s long knack for making room for both lightness and sincerity in a compact song. These two titles meet in a release built around that pleasing tension.
