Rena Scott - Super Lover / Super Lover

Description
Rena Scott’s “Super Lover” belongs to the moment when soul’s warmth met disco’s bright, steady pulse. Disco turned the dance floor into a place for both communal release and close-up romance, while funk kept the groove grounded in rhythmic snap. That meeting gives this 1979 single its inviting context: one title, “Super Lover,” shared across both sides, with Scott’s name at the center. The release comes on Buddah as BDA 607, a USA pressing. Its appeal lies in the enduring conversation between soul feeling and dance music’s forward motion—a tradition that keeps making room for connection as well as movement.
