Richard Leigh - Don't Shoot At Me (I'm On Your Side) / In The Arms Of A Pretty Gal

Description
Country songs often make room for a little humor alongside the heartache, and Richard Leigh’s 1982 single leans into that easy storytelling spirit. “Don't Shoot At Me (I'm On Your Side)” catches the ear with its conversational title, while “In The Arms Of A Pretty Gal” brings a second thread of romance to the record. Leigh is a songwriter, a natural fit for songs built around vivid phrases and familiar human tangles. Released on Liberty as B-1462, this United States pressing belongs to a country tradition where a clever turn of words can make a story feel both personal and shared.
