Rick Nelson - Down Home / Fools Rush In

Description
A little pop balladry goes a long way. Rick Nelson brings a warm, unhurried touch to the story-song tradition, where a clear melody and a heartfelt vocal can make an intimate moment feel instantly familiar. Here, “Down Home” shares the record with “Fools Rush In,” a title that carries its own well-loved place in the language of romance. The pairing sits neatly between the tenderness of the ballad and the easy movement of rock & roll, with Nelson’s identity as a pop singer at its center. Decca 31533 offers a small reminder that a memorable song often begins with a simple human feeling.
