Ricky Nelson - Hello Mary Lou / Travelin' Man

Description
This Netherlands-pressed 7-inch pairs Ricky Nelson’s “Hello Mary Lou” with “Travelin' Man,” two titles that capture the easy, direct appeal of early rock and roll as it met polished pop. The music of that era often made a compact song feel like a whole little world: a memorable refrain, a clear vocal presence and just enough rhythmic lift to keep the story moving. Here, the contrast between a name called out in one title and a traveler in the other gives the pairing its own small narrative arc, without needing to tie the songs together. Imperial’s AI 5741 preserves that pairing in a concise slice of pop history.
