Rita Coolidge - One Fine Day / One Fine Day

Description
“One Fine Day” is the kind of title that opens a door to possibility, and here Rita Coolidge brings it to both sides of this 1979 single. The song’s return gives the record a pleasing sense of focus, while the disco and soul setting places it in a tradition built for movement, warmth and memorable hooks. Soul has long made room for voices that can carry tenderness without losing their poise; Coolidge’s name sits naturally in that lineage. Issued in the United States by A&M Records as 2169, this single keeps its attention on one song and the promise held in its title.
